Displaying the Grid Guide on the LCD Monitor

When you want to shoot an image evenly in the vertical or horizontal direction, it is convenient to display the Grid Guide (calibration scale) and make your composition.

The Grid Guide is made of lines that divide the LCD Monitor screen into thirds both vertically and horizontally. The Grid Guide is displayed only as an aid in shooting and is not part of the picture. With the Grid Guide Display on, symbols (see p.18) will be displayed only for a few seconds right after pressing Self-Timer, Flash or Macro buttons.

To display the Grid Guide, follow the steps

Press the

The Grid Guide appears.

Turn the Mode Dial to (Shooting Mode).

Press the button.

The symbol display disappears.

Every time you press the button, the view cycles in the sequence of No Display, Grid Guide, LCD Monitor Off, Normal Symbol Display, No Display.
