3 Press the F (Flash) button to
change the flash mode.
• The flash mode mark is displayed
momentarily at the center of the
LCD monitor and then a smaller
mark is displayed at the upper left
of the screen.
• The auto focus/flash lamp blinks
while the flash charges. Once the
flash is charged, the lamp turns off and the camera is r eady to
shoot.

•When you are finished using t he f la sh, pr ess t he ce nt er o f th e f las h co ver do wn with
your finger.
•The flash mode setting is saved until you press the F (Flash) button again.
•The flash does not fire when shooting movies or in multi-shot mode.
•When using AAA alkaline batteries, Oxyride batteries, or nickel-hydrogen batteries,
the LCD monitor turns off when the flash is charging.
•The flash fires a pre-flash to increase the AE accuracy.
•You cannot use the internal flash when using the external fla s h. (GP.201)

•You cannot use the internal flash when using the wide conversion lens or hood.
•To use the internal flash wi th the LCD viewfinder attach ed, reposition the angle of th e
LCD viewfinder.
