Various Shooting Functions

• When the exposure value is betwee n
-2EV and +2EV, the brig htnes s of t he
LCD monitor changes according to
the exposure value.
• When the exposure value exceeds
the range of -2EV to +2EV, the
indicator lights orange and the
brightness of the LCD monitor does
not change.

Rotate the up-down dial to change the aperture val ue.

Press the ADJ. lever to the left or right to change the shutter speed.

Half-press the shutter release
button.

Gently press the shutter release button all the way.

•To increase the exposure ti me, lower the shutter speed. In this case, camera shake
may occur. Hold the camera steady with two hands or use a tripod when shooting.
•While shooting with a slow shutter speed, the LCD mo nitor turns off.
•
When the ISO setting is set to [AUTO] or [AUTO-HI] in manual exposure mode, the ISO
is fixed at ISO 100.
•
AE LOCK does not work in manual exposure mod e even if the Fn (Function) button is
assigned to [AE LOCK]. When the Fn (Function) bu tton is pressed, the value is
automatically set closer to the appropriate expo sure (closer to the adjust of the
exposure value indicator). This is useful when, for example, you want to change /adjust
the exposure value from closer to the center of the exposure value indicator (the
appropriate exposure).

•When the shutter speed is set to 15 or more seconds, the functi on to remove noise
from images operates. Theref ore , th e ti me until im age r e cord in g is co mpl et e is abo ut
twice the set shutter speed plus about 8 seconds.
•When the shutter speed is set to 1 or more seconds, the camera shake correction
function cannot be used. W hen the shutter speed is set to 1 or more seconds wh ile
the camera shake correctio n function is turned on, E ch anges to F.
