Cautions on Use
• This product was manufactured for use in th e country in which it was
purchased. The warranty is only valid in the country in which the camera
was purchased.
• Should the product fail or malfunct ion while you are abroad, the
manufacturer assumes no responsibility for servicing the product loca lly or
bearing the expenditure incurred t herefore.
• Be sure not to drop or apply any sud den force to the camera.
• Firing the flash consecutively may heat t he firing unit. Do not fire it
consecutively more than necessary.
• Do not touch the flash and keep forei gn objects away from the firing unit.
Doing so can cause burns and fires.
• Do not fire the flash near eyes. It could cause visual impairment (pa rticularly
for infants).
• Do not fire the flash near the driver of a vehicle to avoid caus ing accidents.
• The batteries may become hot after extended use. Touching the ba tteries
immediately after use could result in burns to your fingers.
• If the LCD monitor or panel is expo sed to sunlight, they may become
washed out and images may become hard t o view.
• The LCD monitor and pa n el m ay c o nt a in s o me pi xe l s t ha t do no t re mai n l it
up continually in part or at all. Also, th e brightness may become uneven
because of the characteristics of LCDs. These a re not failures.
• Do not forcefully press the surface of t he LCD monitor.
• While you are carrying the camera, be carefu l not to hit it against other
objects.
• In an environment where the temper ature changes suddenly, condensation
may occur in the camera, resulting in troubles suc h as fogging of the glass
surface or malfunctions of the camera. If t his occurs, place the camera in a
bag to slow the temperature change as much as possible. Take it out of the
bag after the temperature difference from t he atmosphere has decreased to
a fairly small amount.
• To avoid damaging the co nnecto rs, do not pu t any obj ects i nto th e camer a’s
microphone or speaker holes.
Conditions in which condensation m ay easily occur:------------------------ --
•When the camera is moved to an environment where the temper ature differs greatly.
•In humid places.
•In a room immediately after being heated, or when the camera is exposed directly to
cooled air from an air-condi tioner or another similar appliance.
