If you are using the camera for the first time, read this section.

•The histogram displayed on the LCD monitor is for reference only.
•Depending on the sh ooting conditions (us e of the flash, dark s urrounding light, etc. ),
the exposure level indicated i n the histogram may not correspond to the brightness
of the shot image.
•Exposure compensation has its limitation. It does not necessarily achieve the best
possible result.
•A histogram with peaks i n the center may not ne cessarily provide the bes t result to
suit your particular require ments.
For example, an adjustment is required if you want to underexpose or overexpose
the image.
