Unauthorized Copy Control

You can embed patterns and text under printed text to prevent unauthorized copying of the document. Unauthorized Copy Control consists of two functions: [Data security for copying] and [Mask type:].

Important
❒ This function is designed to discourage copying of confidential documents; it
does not prevent unauthorized use of information.
❒ To use the Unauthorized Copy Control function, configure the RPCS printer	3
driver settings as shown below. This function cannot be selected if other set-

tings are applied.

•In the [Paper type:] list, select [Plain] or [Inkjet Plain Paper].

•If you selected [Plain], select [Quality] on the [Print Quality] tab.

•If you selected [Inkjet Plain Paper], select [Normal] on the [Print Quality] tab.

Opening the Unauthorized Copy Control Window

In the RPCS printer driver, open the [Printing Preference] window.

Click [Add/Change Custom Settings...].

Select the [Unauthorized copy...] check box.

Click [Control Settings...].

The Unauthorized Copy Control window appears.
