Style Morphing

Style Morphing allows you to use one or several accom- paniment parts of one Music Style and the others of a second Music Style.

Every time you select a Music Style, the EM-15 OR auto- matically prepares a second Style in the background. The Style you select is called “STYLE A” (this is indicated by the [STYLE≈A] icon in the upper right corner of the dis- play. The “covert” Style is called “STYLE B”.

The link between “A” and “B” Styles is preset. This allows the EM-15 OR to automate the selection process and to prepare a suitable “B” Style. Feel free, however, to assign another Music Style to “B” if you want to explore new morphing combinations (see below).

Style Morphing

Style Morphing vous permet de combiner une ou plu- sieurs parties d’accompagnement d’un style musical avec d’autres parties d’un deuxième style musical.

Chaque fois que vous choisissez un style musical, l’EM-15 OR prépare automatiquement un deuxième style à l’arrière-plan. Le style que vous choisissez s’appelle “STYLE A” (ce qu’indique l’icône [STYLE≈A] dans le coin supérieur droit de l’écran). Le style avec lequel vous allez le fusionner s’appelle le “STYLE B”.

Le lien entre les styles “A” et “B” est préprogrammé. C’est grâce à cela que l’EM-15 OR est en mesure d’automatiser la sélection et de proposer un style “B” qui convient bien. Naturellement, vous pouvez affecter un autre style musi- cal à “B” et explorer ainsi d’autres combinaisons de “mor- phing” (voyez ci-dessous).

There are three part groups per Style (A or B) that can be morphed:

DRUMS The drums and percussion.

BASS The bass line.

The seven rectangles of the STYLE MORPHING field keep you posted about the Style (A or B) whose drum, bass, and/or accompaniment lines are used. See the rightmost illustration.

(1)Press the [DRUM A/B] button once to select the drum part of the “other” Style (A or B).

Press it again to return to the previous drum part.

(2)Press the [BASS A/B] button once to select the bass part of the “other” Style (A or B).
