SYSTEM OVERVIEW

In this configuration, the local unit can be either a Dual or Single model.

A powered or non-powered microphone can be connected to the Remote Units “Line In” connector. The Local Unit “Line Out” is connected to the MIC input on the CPUs sound card.

A standard DB9MF serial cable is used to connect the serial port on the Local Unit to the DB9 serial port on the CPU. A serial device is then connected to the Serial port on the Remote Unit.

Custom cables are available, contact Rose’s technical support for assistance.

For example, if your CAT5 cable length is 250 feet, you might achieve better Video quality if you set jumpers JP3, JP4, and JP5 to the 301 - 600 setting. Likewise, if you are at a cable length of 500 feet, a setting of 601 - 1,000 might provide a better Video qualityFigure 4.
