Error Messages

Message			Meaning and Required Action
			The Black or Photo cartridge is not installed or
RIGHT	CAR. EMPTY
			improperly installed in the Print Cartridge Carrier.
			The Colour cartridge is not installed or improperly
LEFT CAR. EMPTY
			installed in the Print Cartridge Carrier.
			Check the print cartridge to make sure that it is
CHECK	CARTRIDGE
			properly installed in the print cartridge carrier.
			See 'Installing the print cartridges' on page 2-10
			for more information.
			Change the Photo cartridge with the Black cartridge.
PLEASE	CHANGE
PHOTO	CARTRIDGE
			The system error occurs to the printer, so that
SYSTEM ERROR
			the printer cannot print continually.
			Remove the jammed paper and press the
REMOVE	PAPER JAM
			Stop/Restore button.
THEN PRESS		STOP
PRESS	STOP	TO	Press the Stop/Restore button.
CLEAR	SYSTEM ERR
			This message means the printer is returned to
SYSTEM	INITIAL..
PLEASE WAIT			normal.

				The images on the Smart Media card are
PC	UPLOADING...
				uploading into your PC.
				The images are downloading from your PC into
PC	DOWNLOADING..
				the Smart Media Card.
				The Smart Media Card is formatted.
FORMATTING...
SMARTMEDIA			CARD

The Smart Media Card is only relevant to the SCX-1000S.
