Polling
Polling is when one fax machine requests another to send a document. This is useful when the person with the original document to be sent is not in the office. The person who wants to receive the document calls the machine holding the original and requests that the document be sent. In other words, it ÒpollsÓ the machine holding the original.
Being Polled By a Remote Machine
You can program your fax machine to send documents in your absence when polled by a remote fax machine. Once you have setup polling transmission, another polling transmission is not allowed until the previous one is completed.

Turn the document face down and feed the page into the machine.

Press Menu.

ÃIf needed, choose the desired contrast for the document by using ¹ or .
If needed, choose the desired resolution for the document by pressing Resolution.

The machine returns to
Standby Mode and thePOLL-TXdisplay shows a reminder
that a Polling Transmission is set.
ÃThe machine automatically switches to Fax mode (automatic transmitting) when set to be polled.
To cancel the polling transmission, remove the document being loaded.
