Network Setup

Case D : Dynamic IP + DSL/ Cable Modem [Connected directly to the IP Smart Dome]

Configure your IP Smart Dome's TCP/IP properties as follows :

❖IP Type

•DYNAMIC

❖HTTP webserver port

•80 [default]

You may select any number between 80, 10000 ~ 60000.

❖Device port(TCP)

•60001

You may select any number between 10000 ~ 60000, 60001.

❖TCP Streaming port

•60002

You may select any number between 10000 ~ 60000, 60002.

❖UDP Streaming port

•60003

You may select any number between 10000 ~ 60000, 60003.

❖Upload port(TCP)

•60004

You may select any number between 10000 ~ 60000, 60004.

When connecting the IP Smart Dome directly to a modem, power down and reset the modem. Leave the modem powered down until configurations are finalized with the IP Smart Dome and the IP Smart Dome has been correctly connected to the modem. Then power on the modem, followed by the IP Smart Dome.

Port Forwarding

After entering the correct TCP/IP settings you will be ready for “Port Forwarding” (Cases A, B).

❖Please record the TCP/IP settings of your IP Smart Dome for future reference. You may need this information to access your IP Smart Dome and to configure “Port Forwarding”.

❖After clicking “Apply” the system will prompt for a reboot. Please allow the system 60 seconds to reboot and accept the changes. After 50 seconds, close the configuration screen. The view will display “Connecting…”. If the ACTIVE light on the IP Smart Dome has gone off and is now back on again flashing, then the IP Smart Dome has rebooted. After the system reboots completely, remove the power supply from the unit and close Internet Explorer.

❖Return your PC/Laptop TCP/IP properties to their original settings.

❖Before installing the IP Smart Dome, you must use “Port Forwarding” on your personal router (Cases A, B).

You will need to forward 5 ports:

•HTTP Webserver Port you assigned to the IP Smart Dome.

•Device Port you assigned to the IP Smart Dome.

•TCP Streaming Port you assigned to the IP Smart Dome.

•UDP Streaming Port you assigned to the IP Smart Dome.
