6.2.1Notes forLogging
ModeA:ChannelLogging Menu
When you invokethe ChannelLogging mode A(On)ora(Off),youwill be
prompted withthe message:
Enter M for MBP initiated sessions
T for TCP initiated sessions
B for both

Enter:Mtoselectsessionsinitiated from ModbusPlus,Tforsessionsinitiated
fromTCP/IP,orBtoselectsessionsinitiatedfromeithernetwork.

Channelsareidentified by16 letters:a...p.The channelsaremade availableto
incoming transactionsastheybecome open withinthe bridge,with p being the
firstavailablechannel.Notethat the lettersa...pcorrespond tothe sequencein
whichthe channelsaremade available.Theydo notcorrespond toaspecific
Programpath orData path number.
Forexample,ifthe bridge isinactivewhen itreceivesatransaction, the transaction
will be processed on channelp. If the transaction isinitiated from Modsoft and
requiresbothaProgrampathandaData path, then itwill be processed on two
channels,p and o.
Channelsarefreed fornewtransactionsinthe orderp---->a astheybecome
available.
Saving theLogging Status and Log File
The currentlogging mode is saved tothe WATTCP.CFGfileinthefield:
log_level=<level>
where<level> isthe currently selected mode.
defaultsare:log_errors (all TCP/IPand routine errors)
log_channels(all channels)
log_messages (all routine messages)
Boththe WATTCP.CFGandthe BRIDGE.LOG filecan be uploaded to a host.
