6.6.1Starting MBPSTAT
MBPSTATisrunfromthe bridges command line.You can get the command line
promptbyinitializing the bridge withoutaconnection toaBOOTPserver.
Setup
If akeyboard and monitorare already connected tothe bridge,stop the bridge by
pressing Qand confirming thatyou want to quit the bridge application.
If akeyboard and monitorare notconnected,remove powertothe bridge and
connect themtothe bridgesconnectorpanel.Restore powertothe bridge.
If the bridge displays itsCFGUTILmenu,press Escape toclosethe menu.This
should displaythe bridgesC:\>prompt.
Starting
Tostartthe program,enter:MBPSTAT/s5d
6.6.2Selecting theNetworkto beAnalyzed
The programwill nextpromptyou forarouting pathtothe ModbusPlusnetwork
you want to analyze.Forexample,you canexamine the localnetwork,oryou can
examinearemote networkthatisaccessed through a seriesofBP85 Bridge Plus
devices.
Notethatyou areselectingatargetnetworkonly---- theaddress ofany specific
node on thatnetworkwill be entered lateras you run the program.
Youcan enterup tofournetworkrouting bytes.The lastnon--zero entrydefines
the targetnetwork.The firstzero entryterminatesthe routing.Routing examples
areshowninFigure 20.Yourentryscreen is showninFigure 22.

If you enterarouting path ofall zeros,you are disabling routing to othernetworks.
Youareinstructing the programto analyzethe localModbusPlusnetwork(the one
towhichyourlocalhostbased deviceisdirectly connected).
