INSTALLATION

CONNECTIONS

CONNECTING THE TELEPHONE LINE CORD

Use only the provided telephone line cord to connect the machine to the wall telephone socket. As shown in the illustration, insert the end of the cord with the core into the LINE socket on the side of the machine as shown in the illustration. Insert the other end (without the core) into the adapter and insert the adapter into the wall telephone socket. For more information, contact your nearest Sharp service centre.

Please note that the adapter is not necessary for Nordic countries.

The "TEL" socket is used to attach an extension telephone or answering machine to the machine. (See "CONNECTING OTHER DEVICES" (p.12))

If your area experiences a high incidence of lightning or power surges, we recommend that you install surge Note protectors for the power and telephone lines. Surge protectors can be purchased from your retailer or at most

telephone specialty stores.
