Uninstalling protection services

For testing purposes or before reinstalling the client software, you might need to uninstall the client software.

If you uninstall the client software, the computer is no longer protected. we recommend that you reinstall as soon as possible.

To uninstall the client software from a client computer:

1Close the Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer applications.

2In the Windows Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs.

3Select SonicWALL Virus and Spyware Protection Service from the list, then click Remove.

4Select SonicWALL Firewall Protection Service from the list, then click Remove.

On computers running Windows XP or Windows Vista, the Windows firewall is automatically re-enabled when the Enforced Client firewall protection service is uninstalled. This ensures that the computer is always protected by a firewall program.

5Select SonicWALL Browser Protection Service from the list, then click Remove.
