Playing a CD

To turn on the system, press ?/1(power).

1 Press CD Z and place a CD on the disc tray.

With the label side up. When you play a single CD, place it on the inner circle of the tray.

To close the disc tray, press CD Z again.

2 Press CD HS.

The disc tray closes and play starts.

The H indicator on the CD HS button lights green.

Tips

If you turn on the system when there is a CD on the disc tray, the CD indicator lights red.

If there is no CD in the player, “CD No Disc” appears in the display.

Pressing CD HS when the system is off automatically turns on the system and starts CD play if there is a CD on the disc tray (One Touch Play).

You can switch from another source to the CD player and start playing a CD just by pressing CD

HS (Automatic Source Selection).

You can start playing from the desired track in step 2.

1Press MD/CD .m or M> repeatedly until the desired track appears.

2Press CD HS.

Or, press the numeric buttons on the remote. The playback automatically starts. To enter track numbers 10 or over, press >10 and the track number. To enter 0, use the 10/0 button.

Notes

Do not use a CD with tape, seals or paste on it as this may damage the CD player.

Do not push the disc tray to close it, as this may damage the CD player. Press CD Z to close the disc tray.

If you press CD Z to open or close the disc tray while listening to another sound source, the CD indicator lights red even if there is no CD in the tray.

To turn off the CD indicator, press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch the function to CD.
