Connecting a CS/BS digital

tuner, etc.

Connect the component to the DIGITAL OPTICAL IN jack on the rear panel of the unit, using a digital connecting cable (square, not supplied).

Connecting external aerials

Connect an outdoor aerial to improve reception.

FM aerial

Connect an commercially available FM outdoor aerial, or you can use a TV aerial instead.

Connect a 6- to 15- meter insulated wire to the AM aerial terminal. Leave the supplied AM loop aerial connected.

Important

If you connect an outdoor antenna, connect a ground wire to the U terminal. To prevent a gas explosion, do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe.
