To prevent shot marks from being accidentally recorded on a tape, press in the red record inhibit plug on the cassette.
Large cassette
Small cassette
Press in the red record inhibit plug. (“ON”)
Return this plug to its original position to enable recording on the tape again. (“OFF”)
