Remote Control

Using the Timer & Rec Feature

The Timer & Rec feature lets you set up the Digital Satellite Receiver to automatically tune to a program scheduled at a future time. You can also use the One Button Timer & Rec feature to set up the timer by selecting a future program.

To record a future program, use the VCR Control feature to turn on your VCR and start recording automatically. For information on how to set up the VCR Control feature see page 26.

1	Press the MENU button, then highlight and select
	TIMER & REC.

The Timer & Rec display appears.

2	Highlight and select the next available timer event
	number.

The Date/Day field is highlighted and the current date appears.

Date and day

Start time

End time

Channel number and station name

Program title

zTip

When using the VCR Control feature to record a future program, make sure that your VCR is turned off before the program begins. The VCR Control feature will turn on the VCR and start recording.

Return

Closes the Timer & Rec display to show the Main Menu.

Help

Opens information about the Timer & Rec display.

Record Event icon

Shows that an event will be recorded.
