Note: When Ph.Book Match is setto Enable and your desired number is saved in Contacts (regardless of whether Prepend is enabled or disabled), you can display the number by entering its lastthree to six digits.

Your phone provides convenient ways to enter words, letters, punctuation, and numbers whenever you are prompted to enter text (for example, when adding a Contacts entry or when using Sprint PCS Picture Mail and SMS Text Messaging).

1.When you display a screen where you can enter text, press Mode (right softkey) to change the character input mode.

2.Select one of the following options:

■AddWord to store words that you use frequently. (See page 43.)

■PresetMessages to enter preset messages. (See page 47.)

■RecentMessages to enter messages used recently.

■Signature to enter your signature. (See page 63.)

■T9Word to enter characters using predictive T9 Text Input. (See page 42.)

■Alphabet to enter characters by using Alphabet mode. (See page 45.)

■SYMBOL to enter symbols. (See page 47.)

■NUMBER to enter numbers. (See page 47.)

■PRESETSUFFIX to enter a preset suffix (for example, www., http://, or .com).
