5.3 Removing the PC Card Driver in Windows 2000

If an existing version of the LA-5030 driver exists in the system, remove it and install the latest version from the Symbol Web site (http://www.symbol.com/services/downloads/wn_abg_drivers.html).

To remove a LA-5030 driver from the system in Windows 2000:

1.Click Start and select Control Panel.

2.Select System and click on the Hardware tab.

3.Click the Device Manager button.

4.Double-clickNetwork Adapters.

A list of the devices currently supported on the system by Windows 2000 displays.

5.Right-click on the Symbol LA-5030 Wireless Networker 802.11 a/g CardBus Adapter and select Uninstall.

A Confirm Device Removal window warns the user the system will uninstall the device.

6.Select OK.

Install the driver again, either with the Wireless Networker Configuration Utility or as a standalone driver installation.
