Power Saving Mode - There are 3 options: Disabled, Dynamic and Maximum. If selecting Disabled, the device does not conserve power. Select Maximum, to conserve as much power as possible. If Dynamic is selected, the device constantly switches between the power-saving state and awake state.

802.11d Support - 802.11d provides a means for communicating regulatory information among

802.11stations. The information includes the country of operation, defined and permissible channels and the output power limits that apply to the channels. There are 3 options:

Disabled - The device uses its built-in country list to determine the set of valid channels and their corresponding output power limits. The device scans actively on these channels.

Flexible - The device uses the certified channels to perform passive scanning. If the device receives a beacon from access point on any of the channels, it starts scanning that channel actively.

Strict - The device uses only the channels certified for passive scanning. No output power limits apply. As long as the device has not adapted a country-string, it never transmits and therefore is not able to join other access points.

Country - Use the Country pull-down menu to select the country regions for operation. The channels and other relevant information are shown in the list box. The Countries feature is disabled if 11d is enabled. The default country is USA.

A warning message displays when a country selection is made.

The message box displays “WARNING: Select only the country in which you are using the device. Any other selection will make the operation of this device illegal.”
