6.3 Removing the PC Card Driver in Windows XP

If an existing version of the LA-5030 driver exists in the system, remove it and install the latest version from the Symbol Web site (http://www.symbol.com/services/downloads/wn_abg_drivers.html).

To remove a driver from the system in Windows XP:

1.Click Start and select Control Panel.

2.Select the Switch to Classic View Windows XP option.

3.Select System and click on the Hardware tab.

4.Click the Device Manager button. Double-click Network Adapters.

A list of the devices currently supported on the system by Windows XP displays.

5.Right-click on the Symbol LA-5030 Wireless Networker 802.11a/g CardBus Adapter and select Uninstall.

The Confirm Device Removal window warns the user the system will uninstall the device.

6.Select OK.

Proceed to Installing the LA-5030 PC Card Driver and Configuration Utility in Windows XP on page 6-2 and reinstall the driver.
