•Verify a secure antenna connection on the LA-5033 adapter. Verify the antennas remain attached to the LA-5033 adapter if Diversity is selected.

Use the tools provided by Windows 2000 and XP to diagnose problems

D.2.1 The MU cannot associate to the access point

•If there is no network available using the default ESSID of 101 the task tray icon displays as unassociated. Select Start->Settings->ControlPanel->Systemand display the System Properties window. Select the Hardware tab and Device Manager. Refresh the system to detect the new hardware and then use the Configuration Utility

Find WLANs page to detect the networks available to the adapter for association.

•Verify the adapter ESSID matches the ESSID of the AP.

•Verify the security settings set for the access point match those configured for the MU.

•Verify the a secure antenna position connection on of the LA-5030 5033 adapter.Verify the antennas remain attached to the LA-5030 adapter if Diversity is selected.
