PCL Menu

This menu sets the PCL emulation configuration. You can set the font type, symbol type, lines per page, and point size.

Item	Explanation
	Values: PCL1* ~ PCL54
	You can select the standard font to be used
	in PCL emulation.
TYPEFACE	• PCL1~PCL7’s are fixed pitch, and
	PCL8~PCL45’s are proportional fonts. You
	can adjust the font size of PCL1~PCL7
	using the Pitch item, and PCL8~PCL45
	can do using Point Size item (see
	page 3.17).

•PCL46~PCL54’s pitch and point size are fixed.

	Values: ROMAN8 ~ PCCYRIL		*PC8
SYMBOL	This item selects the symbol to be used in
	PCL emulation. The symbol is the group of
	numbers, marks, and special signs being
	used when printing letters.
	Values: 5 ~ 128	*60 (Letter), 64 (A4)
LINES	Sets the number of printable lines from 5 to
	128 lines for the default paper size. The lines
	may differ according to the paper size and
	printing orientation.
	Values: 0.44 ~ 99.99 (0.01 unit)		*10
	When you select one between PCL1 and
PITCH	PCL7 from the Typeface menu, you can
	determine the font size by setting the
	number of characters that will print in one
	inch. The default value, 10 is the
	recommended size.
