IP Address Assignment

DHCP: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol can be selected when a DHCP server is present. Static IP Address, Static IP Subnet Mask and Static IP Gateway are ignored because these parameters are assigned by the DHCP server.

Static: If Static assignment is used, the 3G Gateway’s IP address and IP subnet mask and the Gateway’s IP address must be specified in the respective IP address fields.

Address

The Static IP Address defines the network address of the 3G gateway. This address is only used in static mode. Your LAN administrator will provide you with the correct address for this field.

Subnet Mask

The Static IP Subnet Mask defines the type of network. Your LAN administrator will provide the correct value for this field.

Gateway

The Static Gateway IP address is set to 127.0.0.1 by default. In case of a router enter its address here. Your LAN administrator will provide the correct value for this field.
