e-FILING FEATURES

OVERVIEW

The e-STUDIO3511/4511 features an electronic filing (e-Filing) function.This feature allows pages from different sources to be stored on the machine’s hard disk as a single electronic format, then be easily edited before output. Information from such various sources as copy, scan, print, and fax data can be stored in the filing boxes.These images can be retrieved using theTWAIN driver or File Downloader, then viewed and edited using the Web- based utility before printing in black & white or full-color.

e-Filing boxes and folders

Users can create “filing boxes” and folders on the hard disk to store their scanned images. The table below shows the number of boxes and folders that users can create for e-Filing:

Public box — Max. Quantity: 1 — The Public box is available to all users and administrators.

User box — Max. Quantity: 200 — Users can create up to 200 individual user boxes on the hard disk via the Control Panel or Web-based utility. Each box can be password-protected to ensure security.

Folders — Max. Quantity: 100/folders — Users can create and name up to 100 folders per box by using the Web-based utility.

Viewing/Editing/

Handing

Users can store copy jobs, print jobs, scan jobs and incoming faxes (option) in the e-Filing boxes, as follows:

Copy-to-Box — A copy job is stored in the box in Toshiba’s

unique file format. It can also be copied at the same time,

as required.

Scan-to-Box — A scan job is stored in the box in JPEG

(color/grayscale) or MMR (black & white) format. A scanned

image is transferred or emailed to specified destinations using

Scan-to-File or Scan-to-Email at the same time, as required.

• Received Fax-to-Box — An incoming fax is stored in the box in

MMR. Using the Fax Mailbox (ITU-T compatible) feature, a fax

received with ITU-T Sub-address (SUB, Fcode) can also be

stored into the appropriate box. For a fax without SUB, an
