The TOSHIBA HWSetup window appears with tabs for the

following:

❖General — Allows you to view current BIOS version

❖Password — Allows you to set user passwords.

❖Boot Priority — Allows you to change the sequence in

which your computer searches the drives for the

operating system.

You can also manually choose the Boot Priority by

pressing the power button, then quickly pressing the

right or left arrow keys.

Select the boot device by pressing the right or left

arrow keys, then pressing the Enter key.

NOTE: Since the system is a quick-booting system, you must

press the arrow keys immediately after pressing the power button.

❖LAN — Lets you enable or disable the Wake-up on LAN

feature.

Choose the desired tab and accompanying options.

Small Display Properties

The Small Display Properties feature enables you to adjust

the settings for the cPad when it’s in application launch

mode.

on page 63.

The computer displays the Non-system disk or disk error DVD-ROM or DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive problems You cannot access a disc in the drive. You press the disc eject button, but the drive tray does not slide out. Some discs run correctly, but others do not. WinDVD problems: general issues WinDVD controls are disabled. Playback performance is poor. The Root or Title menu does not open. WinDVD performance decreases after making a system change. Slow playback performance. WinDVD problems: content issues WinDVD will not function properly with debug software installed. Modem problems The modem will not receive or transmit properly. The modem is on, set up properly and still will not transmit or receive data. Develop good computing habits Save your work frequently.
