[PhDN/MW] Message Waiting

To use this feature, your telephone must be programmed for both [PhDNs] and Message Waiting (0:) buttons.

Your telephone has one built-in Message Waiting (0VJ) button that works with your [PDN] (see Message Waiting for a detailed explanation of this feature.).

To set a Message Waiting indication for a [PhDN/MW]

Follow the same procedure used to set a message light on another telephone.

To respond to [PhDN/MW]

1.Press the [PhDN/MW] indicated by the flashing red LED.

...or answer a message by pressing 7$/..If there is no answer, hang up and try at a later time.

2.Press 7$/. after receiving the message.

3.Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to answer the next messages.

Your telephone rings the station or voice mail device that left the message. (The LED on your telephone continues to flash.)

If you have more than one message waiting indication from different sources, the red LED continues to flash, after you answer the first message.

To cancel Message Waiting set on a [PhDN/MW]

A flashing [PhDN/MW] indicates that there is a message waiting on that button; however, if you have listened to that message (which should turn the LED off) or if for some reason you wish to turn it off, you can follow the steps below to turn it off.

1.Press the [PhDN] associated with the flashing.

2.Enter ￿￿￿￿.

3.Press 7$/..

You hear a steady dial tone and the￿[PhDN] LED lights steady.

The dial tone stops.

The flashing red Message Waiting LED stops, indicating that the message has been canceled.
