NOTE: For Mac OS computers with a USB port (for example, an iMac), you need an adapter to connect the DTP41 to your computer. For information on supported adapters, see the X-Rite, Inc. web site (www.x-rite.com).

5.Use the AC adapter to provide power.

Plug the small connector on the adapter cable into the power input of the X-Rite DTP41 and plug the AC adapter into the power cord. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

6.Turn on the computer.

7.Calibrate the X-Rite DTP41 using ColorWise Pro Tools (see the following section).

8.Calibrate the GA-1121 using ColorWise Pro Tools and the DTP41 (see page 2-19).

Calibrating the DTP41

For the best color accuracy, calibrate the X-Rite DTP41 spectrophotometer every time you calibrate the GA-1121. You can initiate the calibration sequence in ColorWise Pro Tools Calibrator as part of the process of GA-1121 calibration. The computer may also prompt you that it is necessary to calibrate the spectrophotometer.

Alternatively, you can initiate the DTP41 calibration process using the Instrument button on the DTP41. For more information on this method, see the documentation that came with the X-Rite DTP41.
