“High-speed dubbing” is not available between the HDD and a DVD-R/RW (Video mode) recorded on other devices.

“High-speed dubbing” is not available when dubbing to a finalized DVD-R/RW.

“Record to HDD” is not available on an unfinalized DVD-R/RW (Video mode) which was recorded on other devices.

The feature for dubbing of contents in folders (see below) does not work on “Record to HDD”.

Feature for dubbing of contents in folders

It is not possible to designate a receiving a folder when dubbing contents in a folder. However, if you beforehand make a folder of the same name on the receiving disc, the contents will be dubbed to the folder. For details, see “Creating folders” ( page 51).

When a receiving disc is the HDD and there is no folder of the same name on it, the recorder automatically makes a folder of the same name on the HDD and dubs contents to it. If a folder cannot be made for the reason that number of folders already reached the limit, etc., contents are dubbed to the ROOT on the HDD.

When a receiving disc is a DVD-RAM or DVD-R/ RW (VR mode) and there is no folder of the same name on it, contents are dubbed to the ROOT on the HDD.
