11 HARDWARE INSTALLATION

2.11 Wake-on-LAN Connector (3-pin WOL)

This connector connects to LAN cards with a Wake-on-LAN output. The system can be powered up when a wakeup packet or signal is received from the LAN card.

NOTE:This function requires that the Wake-on-LAN Power Up Control is set to “En- abled” and that your system has an ATX power supply with at least 720mA +5V standby power.

2.12 IrDA-Compliant Infrared Module Connector (5-pin IrDA)

The IrDA connector can be configured to support wireless infrared module. With this module and application software such as Laplink or Win95 Direct Cable Connection, user can transfer files to or from laptops, notebooks, PDA and printers.
