DOWNLOAD AN ATTACHMENT

In an open message with an attachment to download, press the attachment. The attachment is downloaded the next time you synchronize or connect to your e-mail server and send and receive e-mail.

If there are multiple attachments in the message, all attachments are downloaded.

ENCRYPT A MESSAGE

Encrypting a message protects the privacy of the message by converting it from plain, readable text into cipher (scrambled) text. Only the recipient who has the private key that matches the public key you used to encrypt the message can decipher the message.

You can encrypt a message without a certificate, however, to read an encrypted message you need a valid certificate for decrypting e-mail messages.

1In the message list, Press [Menu] Switch Accounts Outlook e-mail.

2Press New.

3Press [Menu] Message Options.

4Select Encrypt message and press [Done].

S/MIME encryption and digital signatures for Windows Mobile- based devices are available only with Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or a later version that supports S/MIME.

If you aren’t using one of these products, or have not yet synchronized, these options are unavailable.
