BATTERY HANDLING INFORMATIONH 1

The correct usage and handling of batteries can preserve the lifetime of your phone and ensure proper operation. Operating times are subject to the usage and configuration of your handset; please see the label on your battery for your battery’s capacity. Follow these suggestions carefully.

DOs

Only use the battery and charger approved by the manufacturer.

Only use the battery for its original purpose.

Try to keep the battery in a temperature range of 41ºF (5ºC) to 95ºF (35ºC). Otherwise, it could significantly reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery.

If the battery is stored in temperatures above or below the recommended range, give it time to warm up or cool down before using it.

Completely drain the battery before recharging. It may take one to four days to completely drain.

Store the discharged battery in a cool, dark, and dry place.

Purchase a new battery when its operating time gradually decreases after fully charging.

Dispose of and recycle used batteries in accordance with local regulations.

DON’Ts

Don’t use a damaged battery or charger.

Don’t attempt to disassemble the battery – it is a sealed unit with no serviceable parts.

Don’t accidentally short circuit the battery by carrying it in your pocket or purse with other metallic objects such as coins, clips and pens. This may critically damage the battery.

To prevent injury or burns, ensure that no metal objects come into contact with the + and – terminals of the battery.

Don’t dispose of batteries by burning; they may explode.
