Problem Suggestion
The telephone does
not ring when there is
an incoming call.
• Make sure the ringer is on. (Se e page 13).
• Make sure the telephone l ine cord and power adapter are plugged in pr operly (see page 2).
• The cordless handset may be too far from the telephone base. Move it closer to the telephone
base.
• There may be too many ex tension phones on the telephone line to allow al l of them to ring
simultaneously. Try unplugging some of them.
• If the other telephones in your home are having the same problem, the problem is in the wiring
or local service. Contact the lo cal telephone company (charges may appl y).
• Other electronic products can cause interference to your cordless telephone. Try installing your
telephone as far away as possible from the following electronic devices: wireless routers, radios,
radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, digital telephones, intercoms, room monitor s,
televisions, VCRs, personal computers, k itchen appliances, and other cor dless telephones.
• Test a working telepho ne at the telephone jack. If another telephone has t he same problem,
the problem is in the telephone jack. Contact your local telepho ne company (char ges may
apply).
• The telephone line c ord might be malfunctioning. Try insta lling a new telephone line cord.
• Re-install the b attery pack and place the cord less handset in the telephone base.
• Wait for the cordless handset to synchronize with the telephone base. Allow up to one minute for
this to take place.
