Blind hem toot
The		of the
thread will not appear on the right side
fabric.
A. Attach the blind hem foot.
B. Turn the sitich selection dial	and select blind		hem
stitch (Stitch No.4 or 6). Set the stitch width between
“4” and “6” and the stitch length between		“1”	and
“2”

C. • Fold the				fabric as shown in	the illustration.
D.	• Baste or			press the fold before sewing.
	Place the fabric so the zigzag catches one or two
	threads of			the folded edge.
E.	•	Lower the presser foot lift.
	• Adjust with the adjustment				screw so that the foot
		guide moves along the fold.
Correct hem
X-Y			When the fabric is opened, the right side of
		®:
			the fabric will show only the blind hem
			stitches.
Incorrect hems
X-Y			: The needle is catching the edge of the			fold too
			much.
X-Y		©	Stitches on the right side are too big.
			: The needle is not catching the edge of			the fold
			at all.
			Blind hem stitches are		not formed.
