English 6. MAINTENANCE
Your machine requires regular cleaning (and lubrication) for best possible sewing performance. Note: • Wipe any stains with a soft cloth.
• Do not allow water to touch the sewing machine.
• Do not use detergent, bleach, benzene or thinner. It may cause discoloration and cracking.

If | threads are stuck in the bobbin case or shuttle area, |

| the instructions below to remove the bobbin |
case. | |
| • Unplug the machine and remove the needle and |
| the presser foot. |
A | • Open the bobbin case cover by sliding it toward |
B | you and remove the bobbin. |
• Insert the screwdriver into the right opening on the | |
| rear of the needle plate. |
| Tip the screwdriver toward you and snap off the |
| needle plate. |
C | • Lift the bobbin case toward you and remove it. |

D | Clean the lint and dust off the bobbin case. |
With a soft cloth or brush, clean the thread and dust | |
| on the feed dog and shuttle area. |
| A vacuum cleaner may be used to clean up the |
| threads. |
