Administration menu

Use the Administration pull-down menu to access windows for performing administrative tasks, such as billing reporting.

The Administration pull-down menu contains the following items:

IPS Authorization — Enables entry of your IPS operating system software license text string, provided by

Xerox, which authorizes you to use the IPS software. The IPS cannot receive data from the host until this license is enabled. (This is usually done by your service representative.)

Billing Information — Displays the meter readings for the system.

Privilege Mode — Enables changing of:

The privilege mode

The password for a selected privilege mode (Operator or Administrator).

Backup Configuration Files — Enables backing up of:

System configuration files

Input group configuration files

Input DFA Profiles

Media library files

Output group configuration files

Output DFA Profiles.

Restore Configuration Files — Enables restoring of files backed up on diskettes.

License Status — Displays the license status for your system.

XSIS Authorization — (DFA systems only) Enables entry of your XSIS Authorization license text string, which enables the Enhanced Set Recovery option for your system, resulting in reprinted DFA output sets.
