Setup and status information

The following system setup and status information is displayed in the right column of the IPS Main window:

Control Unit Configuration section Displays the current configuration of the system. Items that appear here include:

Resolution — Shows the resolution in dpi of the fonts used in the current or most recent job sent to the IPS. This field reflects the value entered on the Resolution window, accessible through the Configuration pull-down menu.

Rotation — Indicates whether Continuous Forms Emulation is enabled.

Privilege Mode — Indicates the current Privilege Mode (Service, Administrator, Operator, or User).

Note: When a remote Shell is activated, “Remote Shell Active” displays on the window.

When a remote Shell is activated and a service representative dials in remotely, “Remote Session Active” displays on the window.

For information on activating a remote shell, refer to the “Setting up the printer controller” chapter, “Enabling or disabling the modem” section.
