Privilege Modes

The IPS allows access to various functions based on a user’s privilege level. The following Privilege Modes are available:

User Mode — This is the default and the lowest privilege mode at which the IPS operates. In this mode, the Configuration menu, service-related options on the Diagnostics menu, as well as the Trace, Service, and Debug Level options on the Diagnostics menu are not accessible.

Operator Mode — In this mode, service-related options on the Configuration and Diagnostic menus, as well as the Trace and Debug Level options on the Diagnostics menu are not accessible.

Administrator Mode — In this mode, service-related options on the Configuration and Diagnostic menus are not accessible.

Service Mode — In this mode, all functions are accessible.

A user’s current Privilege Mode displays on the Control Unit Configuration section of the main window.
