Web Server Port

Specify the port number of the embedded web server on the VSG to access the

 

 

web configurator. The default port number is 80.

 

 

Enter a number between 8010 and 8060 to access the web configurator behind a

 

 

NAT-enabled network.

 

 

If you enter a number between 8010 and 8060, you need to append the port

 

 

number to the WAN or LAN port IP address to access the web configurator. For

 

 

example, if you enter “8010” as the web server port number, then you must enter

 

 

“http://www.192.168.1.1:8010” where 192.168.1.1 is the WAN or LAN port IP

 

 

address.

 

E-mail Server

Enter the IP address or domain name of the e-mail server to which the VSG

 

Redirect

forwards e-mail. This field should be configured if the e-mail server is behind a

 

 

firewall or on a NAT-enabled network.

At the “S)ave and return R)eturn without saving M)odify:” prompt, type S and press [ENTER] to save the changes and return to the previous screen, type R and press [ENTER] to discard all changes and return to the previous screen or type M and press [ENTER] to continue configuring the fields. Restart the device when prompted

Press [ESC] and enter Y to stop any actions in the current screen and return to the previous screen. All changes will be discarded.

32.6 WAN Configuration

From the main menu, type 1 and press [ENTER] to display the System Configuration menu. The WAN Configuration menu varies depending on the selection in the WAN Type field.

32.6.1 WAN Type: Static/Dynamic

You can set the VSG to use a static (fixed) or dynamic IP address.
