Initial Setup Example
This chapter shows you how to configure the VSG for Internet access and user login.
4.1 Overview
As an Internet cafe owner, you want to set up the VSG in the store and provide Internet service to customers. You have already signed up for Internet access from your local ISP and a DSL modem is installed for Internet connection.

The following outlines the configuration steps.
1You should have already made the hardware connections and turned on the VSG. Refer to Chapter 2 on page 38 for more information.
2Configure the VSG for Internet access using the information provided by your ISP.
3Create a billing profile that charges $5 per hour of Internet access.
4Set the VSG to prompt for and checl customer account information.
5Create customer accounts on the VSG.
6Log in as a customer for connection test.
4.2Configure the VSG for Internet Access
In this section, you set the VSG to receive a dynamic WAN IP address from the ISP since the ISP does not provide you with a public IP address or Internet access account information.
