7Multi-feed sensors — the scanner has three (ultrasonic) multi- feed detection sensors. These sensors are used to detect if more than one document enters the paper path at one time causing a multi-feed.

1Power cord connection — provides power to the scanner. The scanner is packed with multiple power cords. Choose the power cord appropriate for your location and connect it accordingly.

Connect the power cord first to the scanner, then to the wall outlet.

2Main breaker switch — this switch must be On to activate the power to the scanner.

3Rear access door — provides access to the space in the back of the scanner for a computer (not shown in illustration).

4FireWire (IEEE-1394) connection — provides a port for the FireWire cable.
