2. Basic Operation

Copy/Scan procedure

Follow these instructions when making basic copies or scanning documents.

KEY POINT: In order to prevent paper jams, use the Document

Glass when copying folded or creased documents.

1.Load documents into the DADF.

a.If using the Document Glass, proceed to Step 2.

b.Load documents face-up into the DADF. Remove any paper clips and staples before loading documents.

c.When the documents are loaded correctly, the Confirmation indicator lights.

d.Move the document guide until it just touches the edge of the documents.

NOTE: When loading documents in the DADF, the timing for lifting up the document feeder tray may be set.
