6.3Exchanging the heat sink
ÊOpen the server as described in the chapter “Preparation” on page 15f.
ÊRemove the ventilation duct (see page 20).
ÊRemove the four screws of the heat sink in diagonally opposite sequence (see page 24).
ÊTurn the heat sink carefully back and forth to loosen it. Then lift it out to remove it.
ÊClean the surface of the processor with a
ÊFit the heat sink on the processor such that the side labeled “FRONT” is facing the front of the server (see page 23).
ÊAttach the heat sink with four screws. Tighten the screws in diagonally opposite sequence (see page 23).
ÊReinstall the ventilation duct (see page 20).
ÊClose the server, plug in the power plugs, and switch on the server as described in the chapter “Completion” on page 45f.
