CHAPTER 3: LOCAL MANAGEMENT

Setting the Data Compression Field

To set the Data Compression field:

1.Use the arrow keys to highlight the Data Compression field.

2.Press the Return key to toggle between Yes and NO. Select the desired setting.

3.Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command.

4.Press the Return key or press F6. The message “Save Done!” appears. The BRIM-WT1 Local Management automatically assigns an Active Port Number to the Interface number and the changes are saved to memory.

Setting the Max Xmit Unit Field

To set the Max Xmit Unit field:

1.Use the arrow keys to highlight the Max Xmit Unit field.

2.Enter the desired setting.

3.Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command.

4.Press the Return key or press F6. The message “Save Done!” appears. The BRIM-WT1 Local Management automatically assigns an Active Port Number to the Interface number and the changes are saved to memory.
