5. Troubleshooting

In the event that your LaCie Network Space 2 is not working cor- rectly, please first check the manual and the following troubleshoot- ing topics. Note that a reset to factory settings will solve most user problems (see 4.16. Reset to Factory).

5.1. Software Updates

LaCie frequently releases firmware updates to improve the function- ality of products. Please check frequently for recent updates to firm- ware and to LaCie Network Assistant to ensure optimum product performance. See 4.15. Update Product Software for details.

5.2. System Log

The system log allows you to review the type, date, time, source and event ID of activities on the LaCie Network Space 2. Additionally, if you ever need help from LaCie technical support, the log will be important. For more information, refer to chapter 4.11. Dashboard: Support.

5.3. Manual Updates

LaCie strives to give you the most up-to-date, comprehensive user manuals possible. It is our goal to provide you with an easy-to-use format that will help you quickly install and utilize the many functions of your new device. If your manual does not reflect the configura- tions of the product that you purchased, please check our website for the most current version available.
