Modem Test Procedures

Local Analog Loopback

This test checks the path between the local Modem and the PC. The test is only functional when the Modem is in direct mode (&Q0) and the COM port baud rate is set to 14400 bps (Trumpcard 14400) / 28800 bps (Trumpcard 28800) or less.

To start this test, the Modem must be in command mode.

To run this test:

1.Enter AT&T1 [ENTER]. Wait until the Modem returns a CONNECT message.

2.Enter a test message. For example, “This message should be echoed back.”

The message should immediately appear on the screen as you enter it.

3.Enter +++ (the escape sequence).

The Modem will respond with OK. The Modem is now in command mode.

4.Enter AT&T0 [ENTER] to end the test.
