7.3How to Protect the TPG60 against Viruses?

The TPG60 cannot be attacked directly by viruses. Attacks to open ports (port 80 / HTTP, for example) can have a certain influence on the TPG60 and affect its functions.

To prevent attacks to the HTTP port, you can disable the HTTP protocol on the TPG60.

If the HTTP protocol is disabled, the TPG Homepage and printing via HTTP using the Print Monitor are not available.

Proceed as follows:

1.Start the TPG Homepage.

2.Select Configuration – Protection.

3.Clear HTTP.

4.Click Save to confirm.

Proceed as follows:

1.Start the InterCon-NetTool.

2.Double-click the TPG60 in the print server list. The Properties dialog appears.

3.Select Configuration – Protection from the navigation bar.

4.Clear HTTP.

5.Click OK to confirm.
