8.2How to Create a Certificate Request for CA Certificates?

For using a CA certificate, a certificate request must be created in the TPG60 and sent to the certification authority. The certification authority will then create a CA certificate on the basis of the certificate request. The CA certificate must be in base 64 format. When the CA certificate has been received, it must be saved in the TPG60.

When a certificate request is created on the TPG60 for the first time, a list of parameters is displayed that are required for the certificate.

If a self-signed certificate or a CA certificate has already been saved in the TPG60, the content of this certificate will be displayed. In this case you have to delete the existing certificate first; see: ’How to Delete Certificates?’ Ö69.

After the creation of a certificate request, no self-signed certificate can be created until the CA certificate has been saved.
